how can I get to sleep faster?
For most of my life, I never had any troubles sleeping. I am 80 years old now, and we just moved into a new house and now I can never get to sleep. I'll stay awake for hours tossing and turning, go for a walk around the house and come back to bed, try to read before bed. It seems I've tried everything, but still I'll lie awake for hours and hours before getting to sleep. Any advice on how to get to bed faster? I don't really want to take medication for sleep, but I will if it continues like this.

It sounds like you have insomnia for sure. My son has this condition and hasn’t found a way to cure it unfortunately. He did find that exercising the day made him slightly more tired when bedtime came around though. Perhaps you could try a long afternoon walk. If that doesn’t work there are lots of sleep meds out there, even some natural ones.
