When to Stop Painkillers

I had surgery on my leg and the doctor gave me a whole container of painkillers, I don't really think I need to take them anymore. Should I stop?

    Prescription drugs can cause major problems if we abuse them - ie not taking them as directed by the doctor. You wouldn't have been given them all if your doctor didn't think you needed them. However, if you truly believe you do not need them it will be okay if you stop as they are only useful for killing pain.
