Gaining weight with age
Next week I am turning 65 and my body and metabolism have changed a lot in the last 5 years. I am exercising just as often as before and eating the same healthy diet, but gain weight consistently. I have gained 10lbs over the last year! I go on long walks 3x a week and eat a fairly healthy diet, no fast food or anything. My daughter suggested tracking my diet in one of those cell phone applications but that seems like a ton of work! Is this the solution? What would you do?

I've been there too. Our body's change! It's natural! So you can't expect the same routine to work forever, just keep on changing it up. Best advice I would give is definitely to limit carb intake to recommended amount and no more snacking! Yes, cell phone apps can help with tracking this too to make sure you're not overeating, and staying active every day is important. Atleast one hour of light to medium exercise daily. Another option is fitbit, which is like a watch with all the health applications on a cell phone for diet, exercise, etc.
