What is the best way to improve my mental wellbeing?
I have been feeling down lately but do not think I am suffering from a mental illness. My life has become very boring since my children moved out and I want to know how to cheer myself up but do not know how. Are there any quick ways to improve my mental health and make me a happier person?

Hi Tim, I am very sorry you feel this way, and i can definitely relate. When my boys left to go to university I really struggled at first, but I found that the best way of dealing with this is to replace all of the activities you were doing with your kids with other things. Additionally, getting outside and getting excercise are always good and can help lift your spirits a bit. It is normal to be sad in this situation so don't worry too much. Maybe consider taking up a hobby, as well as going outside for walks and other forms of exercise. Also try and talk to your kids on skype and see how they are doing. I found that hanging out with my dog Nemo helped a lot.
