It's time for me to stop

I've been smoking a pack a day for the last 9 years. I've never tried quitting before, but my new girlfriend hates the smell of cigarettes. I want to quit for her, but know it's good for my health too. Should I try the patch? What's the best way for me to quit cold turkey ASAP?

How to meditate

One of my friends swears by meditation. She says it has made her more calm and relaxed. I work full time at the hospital and have 3 growing children, so I think I could use more relaxation in my life. Has anyone else tried meditation? I need to know if it really works and how I can ease into it. Thanks!
