Should I get vaccinated before going to Jamaica?

Hi all, for my 35th wedding anniversary, my husband and I are travelling to Jamaica for the first time. We want to know if we should get any vaccinations before flying out. Are there any types of vaccines recommended to avoid catching anything while we are there?

    Meridith, congratulations on 35 years of marriage! My husband and I have been married for 28 years and we are so proud of you! There are a couple vaccinations that may be useful for you in jamaica, but they are not 100% necessary and are certaintly not mandatory. There is a risk in some vacation destinations of Hepatitis, so you should consider getting a vaccination that protects you against the different kinds of hepatitis. That way you don't need to worry about anything and can just enjoy your anniversary vacation.
