    This is a disproved misconception, and it's similar to how people say egg yolks are bad for cholesterol. It's because of the saturated fats being linked to various diseases, which has been disproved many times by now as well. Read meat is fine to eat; but obviously too much of anything is bad (ex. if it puts you over your caloric targets).
