Weight Lifting Pains

I have recently started lifting weights. I try to go to the gym a couple of times a week, one time with my son who shows me some exercises to do. Sometimes my body will hurt for days after a workout, making it hard for me to go to the gym again. What can I do?

    I love the fact that you have started to lift weight, it's an amazing way to stay in shape for any age group. A few things I've noted that really help out. After your first few workouts it's normal to be very sore because the muscles aren't used to the motions and strain. Some things I recommend are; supplementing with either BCAAs or EAAs to help decrease recovery time, low-Intensity cardio while sore to help relieve soreness, and stretching immediately after workouts.
